Every story has an origin. The Veiled Truth was born from a fascination with the destructive power of secrets—not just the keeping of them, but how they unravel lives and relationships. I wanted to explore what happens when a person with everything to lose must confront truths they never wanted to know.
The character of Cassey Reeds came to me as a woman caught between duty and survival. As a detective haunted by personal tragedy, she became the perfect lens through which to examine how far someone will go when pushed to the edge.
Writing Process
